Airfoil’s Australian Made Back Draft Dampers (BDD) are engineered to facilitate airflow in one direction while preventing reverse airflow, ensuring an effective back draft seal in ducted systems.
Crafted from high-grade galvanised sheet metal, the butterfly blades of Airfoil’s Back Draft Damper are constructed from lightweight aluminum. These dampers feature low-resistance steel springs that hold the blades in the closed position. When the system is active, airflow from the fans opens the blades, and they close automatically when the system is turned off, preventing reverse airflow or back draft through the duct.
Typically utilized in conjunction with in-line fans, Airfoil’s Back Draft Damper (BDD) can also serve as simple back draft dampers within a duct system. Available in seven different sizes ranging from 100mm to 350mm in diameter, these dampers are ideal for use in various commercial buildings.
